Dirty Player: A Hockey Romance by Mira Lyn Kelly

Dirty Player: A Hockey Romance is book two in a three-book series. Each book can be read as a standalone.

Julia is a sports reporter and Greg is a star NHL player. They have been friends since high school and run into each other from time to time. During their ten-year high school reunion, Greg and Julia are reminded of a promise that Julia made to Greg in high school.  Julia wrote in Greg’s yearbook saying;  if they were not seeing anyone at their ten-year reunion, then Julia owed Greg a kiss. That kiss will be the start of an undeniable attraction between the two. The big problem is that Julia has a rule to never date athletes. Greg argues that she covers football and he is a hockey player, but Julia will not give in.

Julia eventually gives in to her desires and takes her relationship with Greg into the bedroom. She agrees that they are a couple but she doesn’t want anyone to know. Keeping secrets never end well for anyone.

The theme of this story is trust. Trust in others as well as yourself. Without trust, a relationship is doomed to failure. Both Julia and Greg accuse each other of doing things they didn’t do, only to find out it was all a misunderstanding.

My Favorite Quote
